World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The item upgrade feature lets players upgrade their equipment. This can be done at any upgrader NPC.
Upgrades can boost the stats of an item and also add extras depending on its type. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB sorcs and Goldwrap for caster builds.
Armour
Link's armor is a key element to protect him from harm. While it cannot be upgraded like weapons, it can still be improved in a variety of ways to enhance its defense capabilities.
The basic idea of armour is to shield animals or people from harm or injury whether from physical attack or from an array of dangers to the environment or activity. Historically, armour was mostly made from fabric or leather but later, protections made of metal were also utilized, especially in military applications like heavy cavalry and combat drones.
There are many ways to upgrade your armour, however, the majority require you to visit one of four Great Fairy Fountains scattered throughout Hyrule. Each fountain has its own degree of upgrades available, with more granting greater levels of protection and require a higher price in rupees and materials to unlock.
First, Armor Upgrades are permanent upgrades. Once they've been applied they aren't able to be removed in the event that you own a piece of equipment that has the same upgrade. You should only apply most advanced upgrades to your equipment and make sure that you have the materials required to complete the process.
improve items can find the upgrade components you need in many places throughout Hyrule. These include merchants, shrines and even enemies. They'll usually be identified with a gold circle or a blue triangle symbol and will be available in large numbers as you advance through the game. Although they can appear randomly, there's the possibility that acquiring certain upgrade elements will lead to an adventure that rewards players with more.
It's also worth noting that, even though the level of protection provided by each upgrade varies but it's the same across all upgrades and will always be better than nothing. A complete set of upgraded armor will give you a high-defense boost that protects you from all kinds of attacks including magic. This makes it a powerful weapon for all classes.
Weapons
You can upgrade your guns by using special upgrades to make them unique. These upgrades can increase damage or change the stats of the weapon to match your particular build. They can also unlock new attachments such as unique enchantments, different types of ammo, and aesthetic options.
You'll need both the upgrade component and the weapon itself to upgrade it. The weapon must be at or near an appropriate level to upgrade it. Most weapons can only accept a single upgrade.

Weapon upgrade components are available all over the world from the enemy or from merchants. The upgrade components themselves are a combination of components that can be incorporated into armor, weapons trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools to give an attribute bonus or other effect when they are in use. They require that the equipment be of a certain degree to be able to take the upgrade. They can be upgraded in the same way as other items.
The upgrades themselves are a combination of Smithing Stones and Runes, and are used for enhancing the base stats of a weapon and enhancing its scale with other stats. They can be found from enemies dropped in the open world, bought from a few merchants or as drops in combat.
Two NPCs can upgrade your weapon: the Blacksmith Hewg in the Roundtable Hold hub zone and the Smithing Master Iji, in the Road to Manor hub zone. Both of these NPCs accept your Smithing Stones or Runes to upgrade your weapon.
Prioritize upgrading your top-in-slot items first. Then, upgrade the items that you're not likely to replace in the near future. If you're playing an asymmetrical build, for instance upgrade your weapon, then your shoulders and chest before your feet and hands. The same principles apply to Magic and Utility Items, with the caveat that some procs may be better than others depending on your playstyle. Armour is not any different, with some reforges better than others.
Magic Items
A character is able to upgrade only one magic item at one time. If an upgrade project is canceled, no further upgrades will be offered for that item. Magic items that are upgraded cost double the gold they would normally cost to create or purchase however they may provide additional benefits.
A magical item is an item with special properties or effects. These are usually weapons, but they can also be armors, shields or cloaks as well as potions. They can also be scrolls, rings or other items. Some of these items are telepathic.
Most magic items can enhance their capabilities. This makes them more useful for a player, or it can aid them in overcoming an especially difficult challenge. A weapon that is infused with an ingredient that is unique could offer, for instance, an extra level of damage to a particular kind of enemy. This is particularly useful for characters who have reached the point where they are likely to face a single type of monster in Dungeons.
An infused ring might confer immunity to bludgeoning, piercing or slashing injuries from nonmagical attacks (not including silvered ones) until the next time the character takes a lengthy rest. This is particularly beneficial for melee fighters or any other character who wishes to save the cost and hassle of purchasing an armor.
Some enchanted items have special abilities which allow the character to cast spells in addition to those on the list of spells for their class. This is useful for characters that have trouble keeping their spell slots full because of multiclassing. These items with enchanted abilities typically require an Intelligence (Arcana) check to use them, and the spell cast is determined by rolling an array of tables determined by the number of Intelligence points used.
Other enchanted objects might allow the player's appearance to change, or they could even create a completely new one. They can be especially useful for characters who have had to leave their homes, or are in a place where they may not be accepted. A magical item could grant them an invisibility effect, or even make them invisible to everyone but a select few.
Utility Items
Utility items are equipment which isn't part of the categories of clothing or armor and have a variety of capabilities. In contrast to weapons and armor and Clothing, no utility item is able to be in conflict with another. The majority of utility items have an effect that the player can activate by using them, but some also have additional capabilities that are activated when the user presses a button or activates the ability.
Generally speaking, the most popular type of utilitarian item is the Flashlight that is used to illuminate the surrounding area. Other items that are useful include the Helicopter Cap and Rocket Boots which allow the player to float in mid-air while moving and the Jetpack which allows him to accelerate in any directions while on the ground. Several utility items can be instantly produced in the Engineering section, while others can be unlocked through Research projects or experimental projects at the Proving Ground.
In addition to the items that are available in the normal inventory, players can unlock additional useful items of utility by buying them from the Atomic Shop and also from seasonal Scoreboard rewards (such as the Shadow Goggles). Certain of these items are upgradeable to increase their effectiveness.
The majority of utilitarian items give players a navigational advantage or increase the effectiveness of a particular combat skill. For instance, Sharpening stones crafted by the Weaponsmith boost Ferocity and Power, while Maintenance Oils crafted by the Huntsman boost the power of concentration and healing. Other utility items such as Writs or Theses made by the Scribe can be used to give the player an increase in Damage or Condition Damage.
All XCOM soldiers can be equipped with a utilitarian item at the start of the campaign. Later, an additional slot becomes available by acquiring certain types of armor or by completing engineering, research or experiments in the Proving Ground. During the Alien Hunters downloadable content, additional slots can be added by equipping the Grenade Launcher. This allows players to utilize an Smoke Grenade or Bomb while an offensive grenade is kept in the main slot.
